Truth

Someone mentioned.........."Everything that is important can be measured. Anything that gets measured gets improved". They started measuring performance in office and things started to improve. They measured customer satisfaction and services improved. They have been measuring quality for ages. And may be thats why they have progress reports in school.
Had a crazy week at the dentists' office. A rather painful root canal this time. Now I have had dental treatments in India, the more painful ones. But they never "numbed" me for that. Here they don't work without local anastasia. I also found out that you can actually "negotiate" your payment for the treatment with your insurance company. True they have standard rates for a particular treatment, but its worthwhile to give them a call if that is going to ease off $100 bucks off your share of the pie. Always remebmer America is a country of "deals" and "negotiations". Never buy anything without a deal and never accept without negotiating. But let me also tell you that it requires a really persuasive guy to do this and I failed miserably!

Messenger Pals

I think e-mail and messengers have been the greatest inventions of the internet gurus. Messengers are my best tools these days to catch up and keep in touch with good-old-pals. I had a good conversation with Niket this morning. I cannot imagine us speaking (or exchanging messages) had it not been for the messenger.
He told me about the carzy things he had seen around in Saudi Arabia and I matched him with the American Way.

I certainly hope to catch up with some other friends who I email quiet often, but miss the real time fun of a conversation!!
