Apathy

Saddened by the fury unleashed by the hurricane 'Katrina' I kept on hearing word-of-mouth accounts from my co-workers all through the day. Nobody was in a mood to work today. With our facility in Lousiana evacuated and about 10 of our rigs temperorily shut down the general atmosphere here is a little beyond 'gloomy'. But glad that people continue to work their jobs with the greatest bit of honesty which to me is the USP of this country. On a micro level everybody seems to be so detached with others that you will just hate the lifestyle there. Yet it seems that the common passions, common motives, common principles, common sentiments, common worries run this country unlike any other. And that to me is the sign of a great nation. And thats the roadmap I want for my country.

Unbelievably I had walked the streets of New Orleans only six months ago

Anxious to the zenith........

I am so excited and anxious these days that I can hardly sit in a place or hold thoughts in my mind for long. I cannot wait till I get to be free. I can now associate myself better with Chuck Noland having Mr Wilson as his buddy (Hanks in Cast Away).
